I worked and studied as a researcher within the Soil and Water Science Department at the University of Florida Institute of Food & Agricultural Sciences (IFAS). I have almost 10-year experience working for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), as an Estuarine Ecologist within State-owned Aquatic Preserves conducting benthic and water quality research programs and as an Environmental Specialist for Division of State Lands within the Environmental Resource Program (ERP) for establishment and compliance of state submerged land leases. I have five-years’ experience working for Lee County Department of Community Development, Environmental Sciences Division as an Environmental Planner reviewing landscape plans and performing compliance inspections. I also worked in Compliance and Enforcement Division as Code Officer. I hold the following degrees: A.A. Natural Sciences, Indian River State College (2003), B.A. Environmental Studies, University of Florida (2006), M.A. Environmental Sciences, Florida Gulf Coast University (2019). Additionally, I hold the following certifications: Certified Florida Master Naturalist (IFAS), Certified Arborist (ISA), Florida Stormwater, Erosion and Sedimentation Inspector (FDEP), GIS for Spatial Analysts (NOAA), State Certified Research Diver (FDEP) & certified SCUBA diver (PADI).
